Best $300 I’ve ever spent!

Super easy installation. Literally just plug and play. You don’t have to send in your core to get ported. Katech ships you a new ported GM throttle body. No engine codes and no tune required. Doesn’t violate warranty. Better throttle response and eliminates lag. What more can I say.. if you want to spank the competition, Katech is the way to go! Installed on 2019 C7GS M7 LT1.

My friend and I installed the new TB in about 5 minutes and instantly i noticed the difference. I have better air flow after the motor compared to stock and with the throttle body even at idle, i can hear the difference. Much smoother response at any rpm

Well first off i wasnt holding huge expectations just figured it would just "Clean up" how my truck ran. Boy did i under estimate the amount of engineering and time spent on this ported throttle body. Working in conjunction with my CAI, Catback and professional tune. This throttle body did more then "Clean up" it changed my entire trucks driving character. The throttle is extremely more responsive. The top end is Way cleaner and seems to pull just a tad better from 5-6k RPMs. So when youre in that Passing or get on freeway and in the top end. This throttle boddy really shows it benefit when you are needing that air flow. Anyone looking to improve their L86 without blowing the bank. I will honestly say, it made more of a difference then the CAI did. Very pleased. -Nick

Another great Katech value! While I can't verify any rwhp increase (though likely some) it seems a little smoother on tip-in, no CEL, so I'm quite satisfied with my latest Katech purchase.

Previous reviews mentioned an improvement in responsiveness, I also concur. I did not expect to see an improvement in fuel economy, which I did, I picked up a few mpg. I have done no other mods to the L86 in my Silverado but plan to match the Katech ported throttle body with a CAI. This product is well worth the spend, no regrets, highly recommend.

What a huge noticeable improvement in the off idle and low rpm shifts on my M6. Throttle response is amazing!. Letting out the clutch from a stop you hardly need to even add any throttle. Very smooth! Highly recommended!

Awesome TB. Bolt on with no issues. Noticeable response gain. Don't be fooled by other brands. Katech is the best. Bought one from different company that was larger than 87mm. Supposed to be plug n play and compatible with my 17 2SS LT1 50th Edition Camaro. Nope! Car wouldn't even idle. Their response: Sorry, the Camaros have to many ways to program the ecu. STICK WITH THE BEST! KATECH! I won't ever stray from you again Katech. I couldn't be happier. Added a Viteese throttle controller and its a whole different ride! Driving is fun again. If your on the fence about buying it, don't be. It's well worth the investment and you will have excitement under your foot 😎.

Product arrived well packaged and free from damage. Install was straightforward and there were no issues with electronics. Another brand I tried had issues with their electronics. Off idle hesitation is definitely lessened. Noticeable increase in induction noise. I can't tell if the car feels faster but it is much more responsive all around. Cold start isn't as harsh sounding either.

Stock Base A8 NPP with 285/35x19 MT DR's. NO Tune 91 octane. 11.51 @ 120.90, 1.65 60'. The Katech CNC Ported TB I received has the Blade Fasteners Countersunk compared to the pic, don't know if they quit countersinking or they have a old pic. I also have run my best 1/8 mile MPH of just over 97 so it seems to have helped.

I purchased the Katech LT1 ported throttle body with the hopes it would be an improvement over the stock throttle body with better throttle response. The difference was immediately noticeable upon installation. The TB porting was exceptionally done and when put side by side with the stock TB, the difference was very apparent. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase and results.
L86 6.2 Throttle Body

I was hoping to remove the throttle lag from my L86 throttle body with this replacement for the LT1/LT4 from Katech. I couldn't have been more pleased. It was a direct fit, no modification needed, and only took all of 5 minutes to perform the swap on my 2017 Chevy Silverado w/6.2 L86. Really brought the truck to life as it now has no throttle lag. Can't wait till I get the tune for it. Thanks Katech.

This is the third and final modification to my 2014 C7 Corvette which won't impair my warranty. I had added a Borla X-Pipe and a BSM Racing air filter. Together they had added sound but not too much fury. With the addition of the Katech ported throttle body, the car absolutely came alive! Accelerating past 3500 RPM, the car now pulls like a freight train. There is a noticeable increase in acceleration; just what I was looking for.

I and my spouse wanted to improve performance of our 2017 Camaro SS with a TB mod because they are relatively low cost and easy to install. I compared the available TB and found Katech the best overall for a 6th Gen SS. Transaction experience was a breeze and the unit was received incredibly fast. Packaging was top-notch. Regrettably, my spouse ordered a TB from another vendor without informing me before I ordered the Katech, so I had to return the Katech in the interests of peace and male ego. I would recommend the Katech based on the product quality/reputation and the customer service.

Installed 500 miles ago, hesitation off idle is a bit less, but still noticeable. Doesn't feel any different otherwise. Raced the car (1/4 mile drags) last weekend (first time since installing throttle body) but discovered a fueling issue (low fuel rail pressure) so MPH and ET was suffering. Need to fix that , reinstall stock TB and do a back to back of stock and your TB next time I race the car. Quality and workmanship of product are nice. Ed

I just installed this a week ago on a 2016 Z06 with a m7 transmission and it is well worth it. It removed most if not all of the off idle hesitation (almost a slight bog) when accelerating from a stop. The car revs noticeably smoother and is just a better driving feel.

This is a beautiful piece. Quality work. I coupled it with a GM cold air and the difference is night and day. No hanging idle. Gave my NPP exhaust a couple more pops here and there as well. (I personally enjoy it) overall money well spent.

Very good port work on this TB, definitely increased throttle response without any issues. So wish that the port work was more aggressive on the center bar, there's plenty of meat left to remove, but overall for the price it's a decent addition.

The Katech throttle body 'delivered' i.e. no lag right form the get-go, more off idle acceleration & a more linear response than the stock throttle body and upon starting the car the idle settled in to the OEM rpms.

Definitely notice a difference in throttle response. Horsepower gains are negligible by itself but works very well with a cai, headers and no cats. All in all, it's money well spent. I highly recommend it. to mention the outstanding customer service and very fast shipping.

brand new from GM and then ported by Katech, this was a direct bolt on and my custom tune worked perfectly with it. Many ported TB suffer from part throttle tip in, Katech works fine and I have no issues during stop and go traffic.

Fast delivery, nicely wrapped, nicely finished item. Installed in conjunction with a Halltech CAI, it took less than 5 minutes to bolt on with no issues.
Start up and idle perfectly normal. Test drive absolutely normal. Throttle response excellent (did not really get into it, breaking in the CAI/ECU maps). Single most noticeable result was an apparent increase in smoothness across the board. With the intake combination, the perception is the car responds like it weighs several hundred pounds lighter. Remains to be seen what happens at full throttle.

Installed TB on "16 A8 with AFE-CAI" and noticed a bit quicker throttle response along with a smoother feel and I'd say some more power. I believe it just enhances the CAI already on car. Had no issues with Check Engine Lights or throwing a code.
Car feels beastly now, a real hand full to handle and I love it.

5 stars so far. Have not installed the ported throttle body yet because I want to do a before and after dyno test. Have not had time to accomplish that yet. However, viewing the ported throttle body, the workmanship appears to be very good. I have had two other ported throttle bodies installed on NA Corvettes with great results. Looking forward to installing Katech's on my C7 Z06.

Noticeable improvement in throttle response over the stock throttle body. The power delivery seems more linear and smoother than stock. Most noticeable at WOT, but seems to lessen the notorious hesitation off idle on the C7 Z06. For the money, there is no better investment.
LT1 CNC Ported Throttle Body

I ordered this throttle body on the advice of some of my friends who also used the Katech CNC Ported Throttle Body on their Corvettes. I have a brand new 2016 Camaro and wanted to install quality modifications without butchering the car...the TB was a perfect project to increase drivability and add a little power to the car. The TB gave the car a whole new feeling with immediate throttle response and exceptional power at any throttle position. Smooth transitioning from idle to wide open throttle is the improvement this product made for me. I am impressed with the product and would recommend it to anyone.

I recently installed the Katech LT1 CNC Ported TB, along with a ported intake manifold and a freer flowing CAI intake on my Z51 A8 15' Vette with Mag Ride. I was able to turn 2, high 11 second 1/4 mi runs, the best being an 11.826 with a DA around 1500, and temp of 79 degrees. My 60' was a 1.8. There were NO other mods.This was done on the stock tune and stock PSS run flats set at 30 psi. Very happy with the Katech in combination with my other intake changes.
